DIG THE GIG Christchurch Heat One kicked off on Wednesday night at A Rolling Stone.

Historically speaking the early heats take a little time to gain momentum - Wednesday night bucked that trend, it was insane! Five live bands played their hearts out and we were treated big time!

Return of the Terrorbirds have taken a crucial step forward in their musical careers - we look forward to hearing Evil Wizard on the DTG Playlist sometime soon!

King Tides breezed in from the beach followed by some rowdy FANS and the rest as they say is history! these guys have it in spades, they will need to re-wax and lift again come finals day - congrats on winning DTG CHCH Heat One.

Rust Wire came out swinging! Holly shit! This is what DTG is all about - witnessing, hearing, smelling and feeling new bands that we should know about but don’t. Thanks for an outrageous set!

Drone Noises is Joe Brownlie - sure he took a while to set up but the wait was worth every friggin minute! An unbelievable set from a dude that has some serious talent!

In The City are hard working musicians, they know how to play, they sounded epic, Olivia Eady drove the band to wonderful places and we loved every note!

A huge shout out to Lauren Marshall our new Host with the Most - a great start to the campaign young lady

Hazel and Karlee for capturing the magic - great to have you guys onboard.

CON CARNE warmed up the PA in fine style.

To Mike, Gretchen and their superb hospitality heroes - we salut you!

To our awesome sponsors - what we all experienced last night wouldn’t have happened without your support - it's that simple.

To the FANS of all the bands - you came and you conquered - no one wins unless everyone wins! Keep it coming!

See all you good souls at DTG CHCH Heat Two on Wednesday May 13th.

Give all you can then give some more
